Who we are

6527850 Canada Inc., operating as Construction Viking and Cuisines et Planchers Viking (“Viking,” “we” or “us”), explains here how it handles personal information collected through constructionviking.com and cuisinesplanchersviking.com, their “new.” staging versions, our forms and communications about our services.

Information you provide

When you contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, project description and, if you send them, the project address, plans, photographs and other documents. Some Construction Viking forms accept document uploads. Please provide only information relevant to your enquiry, without identity documents, banking details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Required fields are identified on the forms. Without the information needed to understand your enquiry or contact you, we may be unable to respond. You can also call us at 819 598-2109.

How we use information

We use this information to answer questions, arrange meetings, assess your needs, prepare proposals and follow up on projects. Technical information, such as your IP address, browser characteristics, referring page and submission date, may be recorded by forms, the server or security tools to operate the website, troubleshoot problems and prevent abuse.

Making an enquiry does not automatically subscribe you to promotional communications. We will request separate consent for additional uses where consent is required.

Who can access information

Team members handling your request, including management, designers and project staff, can access information needed for their work. Our two divisions belong to the same company, so we may direct your enquiry to the team best placed to help.

Technical providers may process information on our behalf: GoDaddy for hosting, Google Workspace for email, and authorized providers maintaining our websites and backups. WordPress and Elementor support the websites and forms. Copies may be stored in the website, email accounts, technical logs and backups.

Where a project requires it, only necessary information is shared with relevant suppliers or project participants, within the arrangements applicable to your project. Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law. We do not sell personal information.

Email sending through Google

Our websites use FluentSMTP and Google authorization limited to sending email from an authorized business mailbox. This connection delivers form enquiries to our team, among other website emails. Visitors do not need to sign in to Google, and the connection does not allow the website to read the mailbox. Connection credentials are stored in the website configuration; FluentSMTP encrypts the secrets and tokens.

Our use of information received through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. This information is not used for advertising or to train general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

Cookies, maps and external links

Our websites may use cookies needed for functionality, security and preferences, including language. You can manage cookies in your browser; blocking some may affect website features.

Our contact pages embed Google Maps. Loading a map may send Google your IP address and browser information and may involve its cookies. Links to Google, reviews and social media lead to separate services governed by their own policies, including Google’s privacy policy. You can contact us by phone without using these third-party services.

Retention, security and processing outside Quebec

We retain information for the time needed to handle your enquiry, follow up on the project and meet applicable obligations. Project records, emails, form submissions, logs and backups may have different retention periods. Deleting information from the website does not immediately remove copies in email accounts or backups.

We restrict access to authorized people and use measures including HTTPS connections and access controls for administrative tools. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Some providers may process or store information outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada or in the United States. Information may then be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions. You can ask us for details about relevant providers and safeguards.

Your rights and requests

Subject to applicable rules, you may request access to or correction of your information, withdraw consent and, where provided by law, request deletion or a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to continue certain services. Legal obligations may require us to retain some information.

To exercise your rights or make a complaint, contact our privacy officer. We may verify your identity in a manner proportionate to your request and will respond within applicable time limits. You can also contact Quebec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
