We retained Construction Viking for a complete kitchen renovation after having met with several recommended contractors. We were impressed with their attention to detail. They proved to be super to work with because of their cooperative attitude, their technical knowledge, and experience. Viking provided project management and overall cost control and provided excellent recommendations and oversight with regard to specialists in interior design, electrical and plumbing work that they brought in and supervised. They provided us with an overall work plan and maintained great communication each step of the way. The project was delivered on time and within the budget estimated. We are so happy with the result. Our kitchen looks amazing and is very practical. We enjoyed doing business with them and we will again.
Thank you so much George and Ken.

When my home’s dormers deteriorated and needed to be replaced, everyone recommended the same company: Construction Viking. They not only restored my dormers, but also improved the appearance of the house and corrected earlier construction mistakes. Everything was done in two days, without leaving any trace of their work on the grounds. I recommend Construction Viking for any work on your home.

Subject: Addition and renovation at 51 rue de Londres, Gatineau
Gentlemen,
We would like to express our great satisfaction with the addition to our home. George and Ken carefully supervised the work and met our expectations. From our first meetings, we noticed your professionalism and how well you listened to our needs. You successfully completed a project that we are extremely happy with.
You were always available to answer our questions, offer sound advice, guide our choices and explain the progress of the work. Working closely with us to meet our requests, you did not hesitate to make decisions to resolve problems and find solutions that improved the quality of our project. You managed it as though it were your own home. You were there every day and respected both the schedule and the initial cost estimates.
We wanted to thank you for the work and have no hesitation in recommending Construction Viking for home alterations, renovations or additions.
We look forward to working with you again.

We are very satisfied with the work you did for us.
Although the addition receives very little heat from the wood stove, it was the room with the most consistent temperature throughout the winter, regardless of the temperature outside.
That tells us you did good work—in fact, better work than the original construction of our home.
Thanks again.

We contracted Construction Viking in November 2012. The project included two extensions to our house, both at the front and back of the house (totalling approximately 240 square feet), foundation and roofing work, installation of new windows, building a new front entrance with double doors, a new covered front terrace with three stone posts, as well as a small terrace above the front entrance. The project was completed within two months, despite the cold wintery conditions of the December / January timeframe. The construction itself went very smoothly and exceeded our expectations. The extensions were seamlessly integrated into the existing house. We were extremely impressed by their professionalism, their follow-up and their promptness.

I had a very good experience with Construction Viking. I live in Saskatchewan and needed work done on my condo in Gatineau. George was very polite and professional. I really appreciated his ability to speak English. He worked with my tenant and gave me a quote for the work and a time frame that it would be completed. Everything was done as promised. Wonderful work! Thank you so much George and your team.

I recently hired Construction Viking to renovate a property I had just purchased in Hull. The work included removing load-bearing walls to create open spaces and installing LVL and steel support beams. This kind of renovation requires an experienced company, particularly in building structures. Above all, I wanted to be certain that the house would be just as solid after the walls were removed and that all standards relating to structures and load transfer would be respected.
Now that the work is complete, I can see that the house is not only as solid as before, but actually stronger. During the renovations, Construction Viking identified and repaired other defects dating from the original construction or caused by poorly executed earlier renovations.
Of all the contractors I contacted, Construction Viking was by far the most professional, starting with the initial visit. I could see the difference in their experience, expertise and realistic approach. Some proposed completely impractical and unsuitable solutions, while others treated it as a huge contract worth tens of thousands of dollars, requiring a host of unnecessary specialists and equipment. Construction Viking adapted its plans to my needs, budget and the market in which the house was located, while respecting my concerns about structural strength, safety and compliance with the building code. They proposed realistic solutions and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each.
Their proposal offered by far the best value for money. The work followed the exact schedule and conditions promised in the quote. The workers took time to explain what they were doing as they went and shared tips and ideas throughout the renovations. There were no hidden charges or extras. The work was done professionally, and I felt completely confident from the start. The final result was exactly what I expected.
I own other houses in the area and fully intend to call on Construction Viking again for renovation work in the coming years.
I strongly recommend Construction Viking to anyone who needs renovations and wants a reliable, honest, professional and competitively priced company.

I retained Viking Construction to install a new floor in my basement. I sought several quotes and theirs was competitive but, in the end, I chose them for several reasons.
Firstly, their professional manner. Within a few minutes of Ken surveying the job and speaking with me, I felt absolutely confident that he knew his trade and that they would do a high quality job. Ken offered me options on different materials and suggestions I had not considered. He knew approximate costs there and then which was impressive. Secondly, they followed up with a clear unambiguous quote. I value the personal approach highly and they won hands-down on this.
I was not disappointed. On time, on budget, on quality. First class. I had a beautiful floating top-grade laminate floor installed with the correct underlay and upgraded baseboard. I am delighted with it.
I don’t offer testimonials often, but I felt I had to write one in this case, because of the top-notch service I received. I have more renovations to do and yes, I’ll always get other quotes as this is sensible, but I have a feeling I’ll be coming back to Ken and George. Thanks guys and the best of luck, you deserve it!
